    Hello,

Mod made according to the instructions. After installation, three beeps are emitted when starting the laptop followed by a pause and three more beeps. After that it boots normally.
Is it possible to do a rollback to the original version to eliminate the pre-launch beeps, or another mod that doesn't generate startup delays and beeps?

    Regards.

go into bios and disable all intel chip security options and it will stop beeping.

    Added after 6 [minutes]:

I can always make a bios mod for a specific board.
to do this, first update your bios to the latest version. update chipset firmware me region. Then you desolder the bios bone, rip the batch with the programmer and send the bios dump to me in my free time I will make a mod, but for a fee.

In Lenovo W520, after resetting the bios to default settings, the laptop does not start. You need to flash the bios with a programmer :(

This is because you have flashed a different bios version. The bios version in the laptop and the bios mod must be the same. Only then you upload and everything will be fine.

I have a slightly different problem, After turning off AMT, there is no access to the config section (suspension occurs), the fan does not work (you can control it manually under windows, but this is not the target solution).
Re-enabling/disabling AMT using Think_BIOS_Configurator does not have the desired effect, therefore the mentioned functions do not work.
Resetting the bios to default, disconnecting the battery, updating or even downgrading also do not work.

Is there any way to salvage it?

I have a W520 with 8BET63WW bios (1.43) once modded by someone. The "problem" is "beeping 5x twice" on startup, I don't know if something is wrong with the certificates? Can you fix it somehow? I'm asking because I don't want to upload files from you :-)

I know that, I understand that all modded BIOSes cause this symptom?
  • #17 19271952

The board version is written on the motherboard itself.

Not every bios mod causes this symptom. The best mods are made for a specific type of board because there are different versions of rev. Then there is no beep on startup. But for this you need a programmer to rip the batch from the bios bone.
    And not everyone has it.
Therefore, the bios made is a universal modem and works on any type of board. To be uploaded with winflash. Anyone can upload. It beeps because the whitelist check instruction in the bios is bypassed and the loop goes straight to the place after the list after checking. The controller knows that he did not follow some instruction and something forces him to go ahead and confirm ok. Therefore, it is necessary to disable the security chip.

Hmm, it's not necessary to disable the Security Chip, if it's enabled everything works, but there are these boot beeps. In Windows, TPM is seen correctly and can even be reset.

    Question:
if I do not know what and how the BIOS was modded, I can upload a clean/original one, of course in the same version?

    how and what????
ida is used to mod the bios. In fact, anyone can make the mod they want. unlock Tkip Aes MSR 0xE2 frekwency overclocking hidden service menu etc. there are a lot of possibilities.
If you have a ripped backup, you can go back to the original version.
If you don't have it, download the latest bios from the manufacturer's website and upload it.

The official lenovo tools do not allow you to flash the same bios again. At least they didn't for me.
I had to upload the older one, and then I could upload the one I had.
You can flash the same bios again, having the bios file and the program to upload it.
The program is attached to the mod.

Uefi did not exist on the i5 1 gen proc. So it can't be in the t410.
    TPM is enabled
additionally unlocked ram clocking. now all frames of every manufacturer work. of course 1333MHz
