    Hello, is it normal that with the correct connection of the clamps to the battery after straightening, i.e. first plus then minus, there is sparking when the negative clamp contacts the battery? I do everything according to the recommendations and instructions, is this sparking somehow dangerous? The battery is charged with a rectifier with the garage windows open.

    The phenomenon is completely normal. Modern cars are packed with electronics, some capacitors in the power circuits charge up when plugged in, etc, etc, a little sparking is normal.
    I assume it's not an arc like in a welding machine.
