    Hi,

I`m a layman, so maybe someone with knowledge will be able to help me:

Until today everything was fine until suddenly I noticed that in the shower my water regulation was limited only to the summer-cold water temperature range. There is no problem in the rest of the apartment, including the washbasin faucet in the bathroom.

I have the following shower faucet:

    My observations:
    - the temperature control knob has a full range of motion,
    - when I set the knob to hot water, the part next to the knob gets hot, but the water that comes out of the rain shower slightly changes the temperature from cold to lukewarm;

Any ideas or suggestions on what to do about it? The battery is 8 months old.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Maybe the old installation has become overgrown and there is a large disproportion in flow.
If you only turn on the heat, what is the effect?
If you wait, let`s say 3 minutes, something warmer?
Where does the hot water come from?

Hi, this is a new block (commissioned in October 2019). The faucet is thermostatic. No change as I wait longer.

    Is the "headphone" OK?
    Battery needs to be replaced/repaired.

If you have proof of purchase (not necessarily a receipt), file a complaint with the seller (warranty).

This question from my colleague "Tommy82", seemingly trivial, may turn out to be important. Mixing water from the mains is different from that from a heater, especially a gas heater.

Hot water comes from MPEC. I wonder if some filters/strainers could be clogged (this would explain why the faucet heats up, but no hot water still comes out, but I`m completely new and don`t know anything about the construction of this type of equipment). On the other hand, if it was a trivial matter, it is better not to call the warranty service, because they will charge me for stupidity and say that the battery is functional, it just needed to be cleaned.

The mixing of water in the faucet itself also takes place according to different principles. It goes differently in this way:

    Or otherwise in this one:

battery. If you have a different faucet in the kitchen and washbasin and a different one in the shower, this may be the reason for the difference.

Obviously the battery is to blame. I would advertise. It may be clogged with mixed water, but as you can see from the description, it is not.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a problem with regulating hot water in a shower faucet, specifically a thermostatic model from Tres. The user reports that the shower only provides a limited temperature range, with water remaining lukewarm despite the faucet being relatively new (8 months old). Various suggestions are made, including checking for clogs in filters or strainers, the possibility of issues with the faucet's mixing mechanism, and the importance of the water source (MPEC). Some responses emphasize the need for warranty service if the faucet is indeed malfunctioning, while others suggest that the issue may stem from the installation or the specific design of the faucet compared to others in the apartment.
