    Good morning,
I have a problem with connecting the no-ip account to the TP-LINK TD-W8970 router. I called UPC to restore the software to the ipv4 configuration on the Connect Box router.
    Router Connect Box IP 192.168.0.1
    Tp-Link TD-W8970 ip 192.168.0.2 - disabled DHCP
I set port forwarding on Connect Box 80 and 8080

DDNS configuration with NO-IP .UPC Connect Box with TP-LINK TD-W8970 router

    I created a host on no-ip

and after entering the correct data on the tp-link router, disconnect pops up

    ...
The reason is that the TD-W8970 is trying to send a packet to the noip server over the WAN - that is ADSL Modem and RJ11 socket.

This TPlink can only be an AP.

Variant No. 2, you give UPC equipment as a modem / bridge and router with WAN and only on your router do everything.

So I connect the upc router to the tp-link router (wan input) and change it to bridge and then dyndns will start working? Should I change the router?

In this TPlink, according to the manufacturer, LAN4 can also be WAN - you need to make sure that this WAN is active (then this TPlink could easily be enough):

As for the questions, that's exactly right.
It makes no sense to change the router without testing.

So I set the Connet Box (upc) to modem mode. I connected the connet box with an RJ45 cable to the WAN/Lan4 Tp-link. Operation Mode was set to Wireless Router Mode

I reset the Connet Box and it still doesn't get Dynamic IP

Connet Box now connects to ip 192.168.100.1
    TPLink 192.168.2.1

Because you have to restart both devices, and the UPC modem and the router, at the same time.
More precisely, you turn off the power to the modem and router for 30 seconds, wait at least those 30 seconds, then connect power to the modem and router, wait a few minutes and it should work.

And you can change the 2.1 addresses in the LAN section.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around configuring DDNS with a NO-IP account on a TP-LINK TD-W8970 router connected to a UPC Connect Box. The user faced issues with the router disconnecting when attempting to connect to the NO-IP server. Responses indicated that the TD-W8970, functioning as an ADSL modem, may not be properly set up for DDNS due to its WAN configuration. Suggestions included setting the UPC Connect Box to modem mode and connecting it to the TP-LINK router's WAN port. After implementing these changes and restarting both devices, the user successfully established a connection with DDNS.
