About interfacing STN1110 with Micro controller

hi,I am work on project in which i used STN1110 IC.

initially we used HIPERTERMINAL for check the STN1110 data which interfaced with obd2 connector of truck.

but now we want to get this data to store in Micro controller .
so for that we need UART communication mode so please give me a specific details for this.
Which kind of micro controller i shall use,and how i interface it easily with STN1110

Choosing a microcontroller is unfortunately not a straightforward proposition. With the requirements you have listed, the only thing you need to verify is that the microcontroller has UART communication and probably some onboard EEPROM. Or, depending on the amount of data, the ability to communicate with some other off-chip storage device. With these requirements, there are literally thousands of microcontrollers that would potentially work.

The rest is dependent on what requirements you DON'T have. If the microcontroller is only going to do data logging, you don't need a high powered 32-bit processor. If you've never used a microcontroller, the biggest non-requirement factor for you will probably be ease of use, followed by price. And you'll probably get different opinions on the ease of use. The final decision will have to be a personal choice based on hearing other people's thoughts and experiences.

The first microcontroller I used was an 8-bit chip, the Microchip PIC16F690 which meets both of those requirements and is offered by Microchip as a starter kit. I found it to be relatively easy. I've heard great things about other microcontrollers, but I have unfortunately not strayed from the PIC line as far as I should.

i am working on micro controller but only on the 80c51 And 89c51 like this series .But i want to interface my this module further with modem .
so i have to select a micro controller which have 2 UART.
I found so many micro controller for this but i am confused that which family i selected for which coding should be easy to do.

so please suggest any one i want to chose between this

The "TI Launchpad":http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?lang=en&site=US&WT;.z_homepage_link=hp_go_button&KeyWords=TI+Launchpad&x=0&y=0 can handle UART communication and that's cheap, easy, and well supported by the manufacturer.

The UART is software based, but the necessary code is freely available from the TI website.

I should have also mentioned that the microcontroller on the Launchpad is a MSP430, which is TI's nice low cost low power line.

I also thought about this MCP430 Series due to low power and also have more extra features but i never make any serial communication code for this series of micro controller .
If you guide me to chose particular MCP430 micro controller series for the serial communication for my specific requirement then it will be really help full for me to done this project.
