This may come as a surprise to many readers/fans of Jim William's appnotes and books (of Linear Technology fame)...:

Jim passed away this weekend. May he rest in peace.

I don't know any more details.

He had just uploaded a video entry to the Tek scope contest a week or so ago. He did not appear to be in the best health.

Sad to hear, I really enjoyed reading his app notes over the years.
