What kind of friction? What is the temperate increase you are talking about. Are we talking about 3°C or 80°C type temperatures? Also you may want to look at the other discussion going on.

Look up something called the "Peltier effect".

There is the thermocouple effect quantified by the Seebeck coefficient, but that is not a semiconductor process.
