Let say we have series RC circuits with R=1k ohm and C= 1 mF. and AC signal as input with vp of 10 volts and time-period of 20 seconds
So Rc time constant=1 sec. That is the time capacitor takes to be charged 63 percent of steady state vale.
5Rc=5seconds That is the time Capacitor will takes to be fully charged.
My question will capacitor charge to 10 volts in 5RC time, considering it will take 10 seconds for ac signal to reach its peak value 10 volt?
