password based door lock

hie. i am a student doing a project of designing an electronic door lock using a PIC16f877. thel system should do the following:
1. try several passwords(limiting trials to only 3)
2.reject simple passwords
3.allow user based authentication( eg enter username, answer security question then enter password)

i plan to use a 4*4 keypad as well as a16*2 lcd display. the system shouldc also have a mini server for the passwords and verification . can anyone pliz help with a program for the pic as well as other ideas

It Is easy to do u have 3 task 1 to take input from the keypad,2nd check the password,3rd display it....
in which part u have problem tell me.....

point 3 is my problem(user authentication). I have aprogram tthat only requests a password and verifies if its correct then opens the door. I am stuck on how to include a piece of program to authenticate a user in case of forgotten passsword into my main program
