Fourier Series

I have been pounding my head on understanding Fourier series as it applies to *Discrete Signal Processing*, But I have spent so many days and still am having major problem on understanding this.....

I really think that my number one problem is that I do not know how to solve the Fourier Series.... So, I would like anybody that has any knowledge on the topic to please help me out, I think what I really need is seeing it from another persons point of view..

This is broken out by how the function works

First of all do you get the concept that you can synthesize waveforms with combinations of sine, cosine and a DC. Thats where it starts. The Discrete Signal Processing is just an adaptation of the continuous signal processing.

The person didn't really describe where the divergence is, beginning, middle, end. Perhaps at the end because DSP is after basic Fourier Transforms.

Fourier Analysis is basically used to determine the different frequencies & their harmonics (i.e multiples of the fundamental frequencies) present in the signal. once this frequencies are determined the later job is to filter out the frequency which is not needed (i.e noise). That is fourier analysis, please refer some books you will understand!
