Yes your instructor gives you a lecture during which time you are supposed to take notes of your own
You are then supposed to go away and research the topic meaning google the subject matarial I.e fourier transforms
After researching the subject you should then be writing up more notes or if you cant find matarial which I know does happen especially when you have to approach a manufacturer
In which case you ask a fellow group of collegues to assist you with this type of problem and jointly, as a group approach the same manufacturer as individuals, co agulate the returned replies from said manufacturer company or what ever the case is, keep these records on file and submit a full report to the lecturer as to the requests made answers recieved etc so that they have the facts to hand outlining non co operation or what ever other difficulties you are having
You then re approach the lecturer putting your case forward and discuss the difficulties you are having, followed by illustrating what sites you visited, who you have approached with illustrations, emails sent etc, diagrams, some type of written proof that you have at least made some effort yourself and then the instructor will assist you
Most wont refuse unless you have really upset them of course hopefully you havent
The lecturer, tutor wont help you if youve made no effort, niether will anyone else for that matter especially if they have given you advise and youve not listened or youve done nothing but argue with them which seems be quite a problem these days with some people
