Very cool article Mark. Nice to see such a simple interface.

With all the modern display standars like DVI and DisplayPort it's becoming more of a challenge to interface with modern displays. But then again, we have products like the Raspberry Pi (semi-open) that make this possible. Though not without a boatload of software to make it happen.

Have done some more research into this but from what Raspberry Pi are saying this wont work for some reason but i suppose no harm in trying so long as your not pulling current from the hdmi source with reference to the second article

Also make sure you read the notes on sd cards quite a few that throw errors need to be very carefull with this

Lots of notes also on how to get java to work on RPi
Make sure you read them thoroughly before you burn the Os on the SD card
