INVERTER FREQUENCY

Am buiding an inverter with ic SG3524 and i used 0.1uf capacitor at pin 7 what value of resistor should i use to have my frequency to be 100hz acurately and have 50hz at my transformer output.pls its urgent i need help.

Or try this: 100K resistor in series with a 100K trim pot. Adjust the pot until you get 100Hz. But, I don't have time to read through the whole datasheet and try to figure out what you mean by 100Hz freq yet 50Hz at transformer output. At this point I can't even tell if you have supplied enough information.

Perhaps someone with experience with this particular chip will help you out, but the odds are slim. In other words, what I'm saying is, for you to assume that everyone of us has worked with this particular IC and know the answer right of the top of his or her head, is reaching. If you want proper support, then you need to offer more -- like a schematic, for instance, and a better explanation of what you are doing (since most of us are not mind readers).

isn't this project way beyond your capability? you dont even know the formula for computing the oscillator frequency, such your asking about the value of the resistor. look at the datasheet the formula is right there.

as steve pointed out we are not mind readers. more infos my friend, don't be stingy in giving out infos on what you are doing

Well its not as bad as you think

Not that bad put it that way the worst is yet to come

He still has yet to identify what torroid transfomer he wants to use and the different frequencies related to colour coding and type of matarial together with number of turns primary and secondary coupled with what gauge of wire to use

What fets to use not to mention how he will correct the voltage using feedback from the secondary , dead time , never mind oscillator frequency which is why so many of the custom made American amplifiers together with various other imports are blowing up left right and center , also shafting the most expensive head units on the market including OEM resulting in total costs to customer in excess of some 2000 to 3000 pounds

Nothing to worry about because also low and behold we have no relay protection on the output circuitry Correct none at all so when the outputs fail we also have plus and minus 60volts ( a combined total of 120 volts ) in some cases at some 30 amps or more running through the voice coil

But hey nothing to worry about at £300 a time for a lovely subwoofer you can also have the one and only smoking , cool sounding box

One in a ten giving this the bigga , badda boom and just simply buy an fire extinguisher and who knows you might just about save the wiring in your car as well that’s if your really lucky and don’t go up in smoke with this

But hey nothing to worry about because low and behold thanks to my superb colleges in the USA and elsewhere in the world we also have all components mounted on multi layer PCB Correct No flipping test equipment No parts No circuits diagrams and on writing to these wonderful people requesting information we also now get NO answer

Cant be bad Correct !! So I’m just wondering how the hell we are going to sort this mess out and we are now moving into digital , Bluetooth embedded technology with people at the heads of our industry who actually do not know the answers to this or the above

And we havent even started with smt components or how to get them off the bourd or what test equipoment you need or in some cases how you are ever going to service this stuff because alot of this is now fibre optic control with MPEG4 and MPEG 3 layers DAB radio Dab broadcast inetrecative control via the net

Sounds marvelous until your customer expects you to explain all of this and fix it at what prices and how much do you think they going to pay for this lot to be serviced when the price of electrical electronic consumer good is either so expensive or so cheap that either way your on a loser

And don’t forget they haven’t learnt to write software yet never mind network or send packets to equipment over the net haven’t got a clue how to even begin training these people up to this standard and once more we are seeing the cost of education rise Teacher walking out their jobs Colleagues closing and of course still no training !!

No training courses and again No answers as per usual

I’m just wondering if some of these professionals are going to be able to explain all of this very shortly because we are all itching to know how they going to solve this one what with TFT screens Panasonic , Technics closed Correct !! , Not to mention all the other good shops , good decent businesses they once had also all gone kaput !!

And then moving on from this we haven’t got to network traffic never mind how to program a mobile phone to interact with all of this and they classify themselves as engineers but don’t quite know the answers to all of this or in some cases any of this

That’s without the software packages without having the hands on know how and are sitting in these companies not all but certainly some big ones wondering how to actually do all of this Don’t forget this has hit ages from 30 to 70

Not funny is it !! bearing in mind that at the age of 50 plus now if you were caught in all of this which I would estimate is approx 70 % of the country where I am most of whom will now be unemployed due to automation Most of who cannot get training from the government because as far as they are concerened you are now to old to train

imagine what this must be like for someone who has never used a pc before or now has to interact with the net to make a simple payment or sign on or send email with a list of companies who cant even be bothered to reply

Shall we just shut the whole country down do you think would that be a good idea

and the millionairs our wonderfull prooperty developers who have the incredible sound systems who have been hiring subcontacters etc etc Also would you belive have no drawings , No woring diagrams and also bing bing Dollors Dollars , "Im sure theier eyes must look like scrooges at the moment never mind micky mouse Havent and wont pay for anyone to do the work properley and have left yet another glorified mess
