Hello!
I just want to ask, for shift register, can i shift 3 bits at a time?
I am using serial in-parallel out to control an RGB LED. My outputs are the RGB LEDs.

Yes, if your circuit is designed to read out only after each 3 input bits.

Much easier with a micro comtroller all you do is this
