For final year project

What's the best title this project proposal: a device placed in a car that sends/transmits messages and the GPS Location to any cell number/s registered to it (e.g. family, police) when the car meets an accident. it will also send whether it is minor/major accident depending on the damage/impact of the car. thank you :)

btw, is this project possible?? i will surely post the schematic diagram of my proposed project. thanks you mm/

I think it can be possible. We can have tolerance level defined that can identify the accident force strength and then differentiate it as major/minor accident.

you can venture on piezoelectric transducers since they react electrically when exposed to pressure, acceleration, or force.

As was already said, transducers would be a great idea. But I would prefer two accelerometers as sensors, since in a car crash we can simplify the motion equation to Torricelli's. That way, the "strenght" of the crash is directly proportional to the acceleration or deceleration. Also, it would be kind of troublesome to cover all the sides and surface of the vehicle by using pressure or force transducers. That doesn't happen for accelerometers, since the acceleration taken by the vehicle will be - at some point - equal in all its parts, incliding the measuring devices.

After that, all you need is circuitry and calibration.
