sir i am the student of MS electrical power engineering and my thesis are just close to start but i am confused about topic selection. my area of interest is electric power quality. please sir help me in topic selection

Hi Aamir,

Try researching about the use of converters with respect to its possible design types or
the value of series or shunt capacitors for power factors.

An interesting topic that comes up is EMC issues from high power IGBT bridges with the latest digital electronics, for example - intel I7. At 22nm EMC is a challenge. As geometries shrink so do their working voltages and therefore their susceptibility to EMI from power electronics. This could lead to better design techniques that allow tighter packaging.

You can do MICRO GRID,SMART GRID,HYBRID GRIDPower Transmission and Distribution and quality is challenge in this grid sytems ....lot of research is going on which is booming now days and in future can help you fetch some good job. Good Luck!!!!
