Temperature

hello ,
i have been working on a ( smart metering system ), while i was reading the specs, i faced 3 different kind of temperature .
1- specified operation range temperature
2- operation range temperature
3- storage and transport range temperature.
any one knows the difference ?

1. The range over which the device will work to the specifications in the data sheet. For a smart meter, the specs will often be dictated by power authorities.
2. The range over which the device will continue to operate, but which could fall outside one, up to all all of the specifications in the data sheet, or for a smart meter, by the relevant authorities.
3. Non operational temperature, at which it can safely be stored or transported, typically when it is shipped around the world, could be at altitude in an aircraft's unheated cargo hold.
