Induction Phone Chargers

Hello everyone. I'm new here and hope I can learn and contribute at the same time. What brought me here today is a question regarding Induction properties on charging mats. I'm trying to find more information on the accuracy class of being able to use the magnetic field for measurements. If there is a nearby electrical utilization equipment, can this property be used to accurately measure current. This is of course in lieu of placing CTs around the wires. Thanks for any help in advance.

It uses the concept of d'Arsonval Movement that is common to analog multimeter. It is accurate assuming that you have lens or system that solves parallax error ( small scale and common to analog reading ). Same with other instruments of ac/dc meter reading needs to discharge so that measurements will not be affected by internal component charges ( you can solve this by short circuiting the leads ). Accuracy can also be solved with correct set up of meter reading.
