Impact of Induction Heaters on EMC Testing

Gentle Denizens,

Does anyone here have experience with induction heaters; specifically how difficult it is to get a product with an induction heater to pass medical device EMC testing?  How badly do induction heaters radiate?  Are there countermeasures for this?  Do induction heaters induce leakage current?

I apologize for these questions being so vague.  Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

First of all, Induction heaters use high frequency electricity to heat materials that are electrically conductive. If there is a device for testing under EMC, it would be that hard if its just within the allowable frequency standard. True enough, there are incidents that say induction heaters may cause harm to human beings. But at the other hand, the transformer design where induction heaters are made are optimized for minimum inter-winding capacitance and are built with good insulation at the expense of increased leakage inductance. As long as its not counterfeit, I believe you will be fine.
