according to page 9 of the file at the end of question in a half-wave rectifier primary windings rating is 2.69PDC and secondary winding's rating is 3.49PDC shouldn't they be equal?why does it happen?

When you connect a transformer to a half-wave rectifier, you only remove the signal (energy) during the positive half cycle.

The negative half of the cycle still stays in the transformer and it produces magnetic flux that saturates the core.

When the next cycle arrives, the core is already saturated and instead of passing the energy into the core, it simply heats up the primary winding.
