Dear Sirs,

Since RCCB does not trip in case of overcurrent, why breaking capacity value is usually mentioned on it ?!!

In general, its obvious that there is a breaking capacity value for safety reasons. Where did you get the idea that in would never trip in case of overcurrent? Maybe you misunderstood the details. Did it say overcurrent protection?

What I know is, that, RCCB is designed for Earth fault detection only, like RCD and ELCB
