Hi,

I am having big confussion on this because i have my mobile chrger they mentioned that

Input: AC 100-240V - 50/60Hz 0.35A

Output: DC 5V-2A how this 2A could be achieved even if they are using 350mA of current. What kind transformer they have used?

please help me in this

They are using a switch mode power supply, not a transformer based system.
The current rating is the maximum input current at the specified AC line voltages.
Switch mode power supplies are constant power, power out equals power in, neglecting the efficiency, which is usually between 70 to 90%.

As you said they were using switch mode power supply concept, here one more question arises in my mind that as we generally known that switch mode power supplies are the SMPS, is they are using smps inside power adapter?
