Find Problem Statement of LED scrolling signboard. Please help me.

I am currently a final year electrical engineering student.  I have decided to build a LED scrolling display using a micro controller for my final year project, however, I am experiencing difficulty in identifying a problem statement for the proposal .How should i inform the reader with the problem to be dealt with, by establishing a frame of reference for the problem. Any ideas or advice would be appreciated.

Aileen...not sure exactly what your problem is...I read it as that you have to envisage a problem that may occur with your design, and how to advise someone viewing the display what the problem is?problems with this sort of device might be- no message loaded to display- no contact with the master station that loads the msgs (be that USB, Serial, Ethernet, Wi-Fi...)Your action should be to display a pre-programmed message on the display advising the reader of the nature of the problem.Does that answer your question?
