How to View Global Variables in MPLABX Assembler Compiler Watch Window?

Global Variables in MPLABX       While using the Assembler Compiler in MPLABX it does not appear possible to locate Global Variables in the Watch Window. I am not certain but I think it was possible in MPLAB. It certainly is using the C Compiler.  I am hoping that some of the very helpful guys with whom I used to correspond on the old Chat Zone, have been less reticent than I and are already here to tell me how it is done.    Thanks in anticipation.    Ken. KenI see that this is your second post on the subject, so you probably aren't going to get an answer here. Have you tried Microchip tech support. I haven't used them recently, but every time that I have, I have gotten a response that answered my questions, sometimes even going an "extra mile"http://www.microchip.com/support/hottopics.aspx

Thanks for your reply. I'll certainly give it a try.
The reason for the double entry is that I was a member of the now defunct 'EPE Chat Zone' and I hoped ,without success to locate it in the area kindly allocated by EEWeb to it. There I knew several guys who would have known the answer.  I was hoping that some had also transferred their allegiance. It would be beneficial both for them and EEWeb.

Thanks for your tip. Item #11 gave the solution, it is necessary to compile in absolute mode in order for global variables to appear in the Watch Window and several of the other of the recomendations are required depending on the type of variable. On Aubrey's advise I contacted Microchip Tech Support and their explanation confirms this procedure. It seems you are out of luck if you wish to compile in another mode.Regards.Ken.
