Hi guys

i'm wondering if on the configuration mentioned on attached single line diagram the 87T relay will operate even the generator circuit break are open position.

I'm not a power engineer but I work for a company that designs relays so I've picked up a bit.

If I remember right, the 87T works by doing a vector sum of the currents which should be approximately zero. So in the case you mentioned, it should still operate properly. However it may require the settings to be adjusted depending on the relay.
