Hi Roger -- sorry about the delay in moderating your post -- we ran into a glitch in the system/process and are just now digging ourselves out of it.
Looking at the figure, I'd say that you need to attach all of the wires or else the circuit won't work. But I fear this was not exactly what you were asking.Take a step backwards and think about this from our point of view -- if I sent you this circuit diagram and asked you: "What wires do I need to attach?" How would you respond?
Based on this, how about you sit down, take a deep breath, and then explain what you are trying to do in a bit more detail.
