EPE and Everyday Electronics Magazines Collection Available in Devon UK

I have loads of EPE magazines that I want to dispose off, (including 2 copies of the very first everyday electronics), due to a terminal illness, I do not want to  just throw them away, some are bound & some are loose, absolutely loads of them!

There are collectors for such magazines and they also sell on Ebay. One suggestion would be to try auctioning full volumes on Ebay, collection only,  offering proceeds to a charity of your choice. Full volumes sell for maybe £20-£25 and postage isn't out of the way if you want to ship them.Individual copies sell for £2-£3 each but listing them online is hard work and not very rewarding (otherwise I would spend my time selling off mine!). Gumtree (also owned by Ebay) is an option.

I enjoy scanning through Ebay listings for old issues of Everyday Electronics from the 1970s and sometimes I recognise my old prototypes featured on the front covers. In fact I still have quite a few of them spanning four decades of work and I'm considering auctioning them off for charity along with the original manuscripts. The other plan was to keep them for a retirement project and consider restoring them. But I have found that old magazines and other things tend to just pile up and become unmanageable, and they end up owning you and not the other way round! So sometimes one has to be a bit ruthless and let them go, which is very difficult but also liberating at the same time.

I do enjoy reading through the contemporary news pages of the time and back issues such as the November 1982 issue reported how Britain had built the world's longest fibre optic telephone link, 132 miles...  It replaced the old wires built in 1887. How things have changed.

Hi AlanSorry for the delay in getting back to you.It has been a long time since we last spoke!Thanks for the advise about the mags, if I dont have any reply from this group then I will put them on Ebay,I would really like to send them to a good home. Everyday Electronics turned my life around from the first issue,mainly the teach in articles, which taught me the basics about electronics, & eventually into a 40 year career in electronics, so I have very fond memories of you & everyday electronics....thank you.Best Wishes.Mel
