Hello, I have just a black screen on Columbus 2013 DAB 3T0035686H. The illumination of the screen and buttons is OK, the CD mechanism spins and it is possible to enter service mode. But in normal mode there is only a black screen, and it is not possible to get the device to boot. Which memory is broken, please? The NAND flash 29F1G08 or the sector flash S29GL032N?

    Thanks a lot.

    Jakub

AI: When you enter service mode, do you see any error codes or diagnostic messages that could indicate which memory chip is faulty?
    No
AI: Has the device had any previous repairs, firmware updates, or incidents like power surges or water damage before this issue started?
    No

I don't know about radios, but analysing the memories themselves, the 29F1G08 would be more susceptible to failure due to the type being NAND.

    Added after 30 [seconds]:

The TV is similarly affected, the first to fall is the NAND.

    Added after 1 [minute]:

From the description you have written, since it is possible to enter the service mode, it means that the main memory of the device - S29 is functional.

    Added after 2 [minutes]:

Normally, an operating system is placed in the NAND - univalent for many hardware platforms, and it is in the NOR that a program closely related to the hardware is stored. Then when upgrading, only the operating system itself can be replaced - without going into which hardware platform. This is much more convenient than updating for each hardware platform.

Hello, thank you very much for your replies. I thought it would be like that. But there is another problem to get the right dump for new memory if I change it. Do you know about somebody who could help me with it, please?

    Thanks a lot...
