    Hello.
Please, give me a hint on how to collapse and unfold a column with data in an Excel spreadsheet using a mouse wheel.

I do not really understand what is going on and what would it be for? I am asking for an example to clarify the topic

This is very useful when the data column is quite long. By scrolling with the scroll wheel, you can go to the "distant" cell and do not pull or look through the entire column.

    Maybe it'll help.
Data scrolling does not start from the first row, but is shifted down by a dozen or so.
The whole problem is how to do this shift.

I don't really understand what you are asking but maybe you are talking about the grouping function. ALT + SHIFT + "right arrow"
This way you can group selected columns or rows.

Thanks for your interest, but it's not about grouping, I've already mastered it.
More about how to move the place from which the cell with the given data will start scrolling. This means that the previous cells, despite being scrolled with a roller, remain visible.
It looks like moving the sheet itself down.
    Regards

Select several cells and press Window | Lock panes.

    This is it?
