How long can I play music with Monacor 604 & 1502 amps before car battery drains?

How long can I play music in a stationary car before the battery drains, and will adding a capacitor significantly extend that time?

There is no exact runtime: it depends on the battery’s charge, capacity, age, and the system’s actual current draw, and a capacitor only gives a small improvement by smoothing voltage spikes rather than greatly extending play time [#4985499][#4985563][#4985625] In the thread, one estimate was about 30 minutes, while another user reported 1.5 hours at roughly 40–60% volume on a normal battery with a similar setup [#4986256] If your Monacor 604 + Lanzar Max12 setup kills a 55Ah battery in only 3–5 minutes, that points to a weak battery or unusually high draw, because others report much longer playback [#5101599][#5101697] The practical advice was to watch battery voltage with a voltmeter and test the system with a known-good battery to see whether the battery is the problem [#4988095][#5101697]

I have a question. How long can you listen to music while stationary so that the battery doesn't die and you can start normally?

    1. monacar 604- powers 4 speakers
    2 monacor 1502 - powers the lanzar max12.

let's say 3/4 volume. It consumes a lot of electricity because I don't want to be unpleasantly surprised

3 will the capacitor prolong the playing time or will it just reduce the voltage spikes?

    Regards.

State of charge, capacity, age of the battery should we determine ourselves? These 3/4 of the volume also tells us a lot ........... And the capacitor, what is it, perpetual motion?

the capacitor will prolong the game time, but it will not be a big gain

will eliminate voltage spikes, which will extend the battery life, regulate consumption, which will reduce losses, so it will extend the playing time depending on the conditions given above (capacity, consumption, etc.) from a few seconds to ~2 minutes :)
    how would it be.

perpetuum mobile - first read what it means and then use "difficult vocabulary" :) :D

actually a few seconds is a big gain.

Do you want to play longer at 1/2 power, connect the charger to the battery for the duration of the game and it will be ok :-)

Rectifier while playing :D stop by hehehe

    Where is the socket from??

Buy a converter from the cigarette lighter for 220V :D

    And connect the rectifier :D

    so on :)

what no one can tell me roughly how long a normal class battery will last 2 amps and a sub?
    10 minutes, 30, 40 minutes?

Longer, after all, the battery is always charged by the alternator while driving

It's not like a battery that you will listen and it will discharge and be thrown out

Indicatively, I bet about 30 minutes. Magnat rcok 600 amplifier + jbl gearbox 250w rms + 2 eggs radio and 4 speakers lasted 1.5 hours on a regular battery in golf3 1.8i somewhere at 40-60% of power

Okay, thanks a lot. When I connect all the equipment, I will know where the safety limit for the battery is.
    Can be closed

maybe you can turn it on and check it yourself :?:

don't worry, it won't fire up

I don't have all my hardware hooked up yet. I will do it as you tell me how to connect 2 amplifiers and a capacitor from another topic.

Get a voltmeter and you'll be able to see how the battery voltage drops and you'll know when enough is enough.

I used to have a CarPower 604 amplifier. It cut in so much electricity that the equipment did not play for a long time at a standstill.

digging up my topic because I have a problem. I have only half of the intended set connected, i.e. monacor 604 powers hertze and lanzar max12i takes so much power that after 3-5 minutes of playing the battery is completely discharged and the car cannot be started. Even though it was charged all night before and the car is driven systematically.
It's impossible for a set like this to draw so much power. Others can play for half an hour, but mine fails in minutes.

Is this set so power-hungry despite the low power or the battery needs to be replaced?
    It has 55ah and 420A

Should I change the battery or should it last longer?

it seems to me that your battery is about the edge of ... break because it should play much longer. Borrow a battery from someone (working) and see how it goes :)

I have an amplifier with a similar power and if I play half an hour with more than half the power, the car starts without any problems, even though my battery is not a revelation and even in winter it could refuse to obey ...

Hello, I have a Sony XM 5540 suba IT08 and a DLS C6A front a week ago on Saturday I was digging at my uncle's .... the car played quite loudly :D it played like this from 9 am to 3 pm without a break .... I still have a German battery, it has been in Poland for 2 years (I don't know how long it was used in Germany) and after listening to music all day I started the car.

I'll tell you that a friend had GZ front speakers, some higher model, I don't remember, I'm not going to lie and suba borrowed some magnate .... and mentions C 1502 or something ..... a month he went on a new battery and his lights dimmed already;/

I don't want to force anything on you but I'm telling you like it was.

only I do not have hbp 1502 connected only 604 and he is a lot weaker. Ok, so the choice to buy a new battery, must be the same as the previous one or weaker? Does the company matter? If so, what should it be?

Topic summary

✨ The discussion revolves around the duration one can listen to music in a stationary car without draining the battery, particularly while using amplifiers like the Monacor 604 and Monacor 1502. Users express concerns about battery capacity, age, and the impact of playing music at 3/4 volume on battery life. It is noted that a capacitor can help regulate voltage spikes and slightly extend playtime, but the gain is minimal. Users share experiences, suggesting that a typical battery can last around 30 minutes under similar conditions, with some reporting longer durations with different setups. The importance of battery health is emphasized, with recommendations to test with a different battery if issues arise.
