Recently, the remote control in the key for closing the central lock in my Peugeot 207 car has stopped working. That is: sometimes it closes and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes you have to press several times. I thought maybe it was the battery, although it shouldn't be because the car is only a year old. I bought a new battery and still the same. Has anyone encountered this problem, or know a solution? On the forum I found instructions for programming the remote control for Peugeot 307 - but this method does not work

If the car is a year old, why not use the warranty.
If the remote control works once and once not, the synchro will not help, if it desynchronizes, it will not work for synchronization, check the remote control on some radio receiver on different AM bands, if you press the remote control, you can always hear some broadcasting, or is it not always a problem with the remote control, Does the distance from the car matter to the frequency of fault occurrence? Does the car open and close properly with the key? if it doesn't work only closing and opening is always rather a remote control.

If I have no choice, I will go to the ASO. I wanted to avoid it for two reasons: I have 70 km to the ASO, and secondly, I work only on working days, so I would have to take a day off...
I think it's a sync issue. I had exactly the same symptoms with previous cars and there was a way to do it> The remote control I checked on the radio is working, at this point I can't open it either close or far away. The car opens normally with the key.

Regulations point 11.1 please correct. goldwinger

I may be wrong, but if the remote control flies out of the controller or gets unsynced, it does not work until re-synchronized

The synchronization procedure is the same as in the 307. And does the co-pilot work properly?

Turn on the ignition and within 5 seconds, press and hold the locking button for 10 seconds. Turn off the ignition, wait 2 minutes and see if the remote control works.

Hello, I also have a problem with 207. In my case, the car burns only with one key, the one without the remote control, while the remote control worked in the other one and did not light up, so I thought that you need to re-code the keys, as I did it, the car still lights up only with the key without the remote control, but the remote control stopped working and you can't encode it now, unless the procedure in 207 is different than 206 or 307 . Has anyone programmed the 207 remote yet???

All this is normal and correct operation. It is impossible to load the remote control, the key whose immo code is not entered into the BSI. Earlier, the immo seed in the key was damaged, but the remote control was still working, when trying to load the key, it erased the old one and it was impossible to load it again damaged. If the key is not loaded, the remote control cannot be programmed. To sum up - the key needs to be replaced. However, the remote control coding procedure is the same as in the 307. Regards.

...I'm not sure you can't sync the remote if the key isn't loaded. Basically one has nothing to do with the other...
    Regards, Georges

I am sure because I had about 7 such cases, the client comes to upload the key to the service, when you try to load it, it turns out that the key cannot be loaded and the client says that the remote control worked and now it does not work - and explain it to him. if it wasn't so, for example, at the car wash someone would come in with a remote control from another car - he turned on the ignition with your key and loaded his remote control, and then he opened the car for you under the block. It is 1000% impossible to load the remote control when the key is not loaded.

Gentlemen, is it possible to repair this key somehow or do I need a new one??? . Where is the transponder in this key with the remote control (it looks to me like this coil at the end)??? Maybe just replace the transponder itself??? Is it possible to program a used key from another car knowing only the pin? does it have to be a clean key?

The key must be new, it is impossible to transfer the immo itself, at least I failed (I damaged the new key). I suspect that the immo is somehow paired with the remote control. Only a new key ...

    Hello
I have the same problem in my 207, the remote worked, worked and suddenly stopped.
I went to three electronics, one got off, the second said after "planting" 5 other pilots that you need a new clean key, but it's been taking care of it for two months, and the third one said that BSI is to blame, but what has gingerbread to the fan? He says you need to give another BSI. And be smart here and write poems. Has anyone ever solved a problem like this?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues with the remote control for the Peugeot 207, specifically its inconsistent functionality in locking and unlocking the car. Users suggest that the problem may stem from synchronization issues, as the remote sometimes works and sometimes does not. Several users recommend checking the remote's battery and functionality with a radio receiver. A synchronization procedure similar to that of the Peugeot 307 is mentioned, involving turning on the ignition and pressing the locking button. Some users also discuss potential problems with the key's immobilizer (immo) code, indicating that if the key is not properly coded, the remote may not function. The need for a new key is suggested if the remote control cannot be reprogrammed. Additionally, there are mentions of the BSI (Body Control Module) potentially being at fault, complicating the troubleshooting process.
