I have a VW Bora 2.0 8V (APK engine), automatic with BRC 24 Sequent gas.

In the near future I am going to replace the spark plugs in my car. Looking for what to buy, I found on the pages of NGK info that for gasoline NGK recommends the standard BKUR6ET-10 (three-bulb) and the iridium BKR6EIX-LPG for LPG / CNG. The difference in the price is significant 12 PLN / 40 PLN

In such a car, are special LPG candles not some kind of kit and tension? is it worth investing?

What does the issue of electrode gap look like (here by default 1mm) On the Polish side, sparks recommend some super-gas plugs with a gap of 0.8mm
(I used to have a Nissan and there, evidently, with LPG, candles were recommended to be "colder" than the standard ones)

    In sum:
    - what kind of candles should I install so that my engine works optimally, assuming that I run on LPG and Pb only for warming up? - standard threelector code or dedicated to LPG? which manufacturer works well in VW (I am inclined to NGK, but I also heard good opinions about sparks). By the way, I also want to replace the HV cables - now the car has traveled 80,000 km and the cables have not been replaced since the news (ie 10 years ..) so it's probably worth it too?

You choose the candles for a specific car model, such as provided by the car manufacturer. There is no gas for gas just like no oil for gas etc ..... This is a marketing gimmick.

for everyday smigam r19 1.4 with gas when I went to the gas station after a holiday, of course, the price from space, I bought in the store usually according to the catalog, no difference, so why overpay

    Added after 5 [minutes]:

and as for the wires among electricians alone. There is a widespread opinion that every second replacement of candles, the wires are replaced, also reach deeper into your pocket and you will feel a better ride on gas. the more efficient the ignition (spark plugs ...), the better the car behaves on gas

No candles with three electrodes. Because why? I talked with gas nozzles and everyone advised me not to. Usually normal candles should be put on. I have the most ordinary ones in my Mondeo and there are already 30 thousand knitted ones. I do not change any candle breaks.

As for the spark, the gas spark plugs have a different structure: the size of the insulator, its shape, heat dissipation capacity, etc. if someone says otherwise, he is younger than spark engineers or writes stupidity. when it comes to NGK and a few more really reputable companies can recommend their best products due to more difficult working conditions. Compare the types of candles their price and recommended mileage (regular 15kkm platinum 60kkm .) and the topic becomes clear. if there are no problems with the spark, we leave the original and the candles recommended by the manufacturer work very well

And I think that it is taking money from people. I used to put plats in the basket every two times. I always had a good opinion about NGK.
This is why I usually have 30 thousand flashed, I check candles every 10 thousand and a break on them and ... how was it supposed to be 1.3 this is the case.
A similar thing with oils, especially for gas, I have friends in oil wholesalers and they laughed at these oil inventions.

There are cars for which only platinum or iridium is recommended and the replacement takes a few hours (removal of the manifold, etc.). As for the quality of your platinum and their originality, it's hard to say I had no such problems and only NGK made in japan have a good opinion. I guess you have a Ford and you used the focus candles. when it comes to opinions, half of the gas engineers have problems with tuning the gas injection, so their opinions on some topics should be ignored. engineering diplomas and appropriate research in laboratories, their opinions are treated as a few years ago, the popular opinion that gas destroys engines and winter tires are a marketing ploy to provide customers with a captaincy and do not give anything.

ngk candles are the best, now it's just that and the prices are low.
I once bought for an old car, such as they wrote in the service book, champion candles or something like that, unfortunately they did not work out, after a week of driving, the replacement for NGK and the problem disappears.

These gas candles are just extorting money, people think that this will improve their gas work somehow and they take it, leaving a few zlotys in the store. And those who came up with it are only rubbing their hands while collecting the money.

Ideally, as someone has already written, no candles with three electrodes

Apparently yes, but not completely. Please check the parameters of gas candles and ordinary ones, if they are the same, and mainly the heat. they broke down (the company) and lasted only 10,000 on gas. As for the oil, I always assumed that it is better to change the oil more often and not to overpay even for the advertisement itself. But specialists should comment on this, because the exhaust gas content of each fuel is different and I don't know if the properties of oils, diesel or LPG should be different, but that's just my opinion.

Then I will also connect to the topic
technical fact The electrical resistance of the gas-air mixture is greater than that of the gasoline-air mixture
which causes that a higher voltage is needed for the spark to occur
That is why the efficiency of the entire ignition system is so important, a wearing plug causes an increase in the gap between the electrodes (multi-electrode plugs also have a larger gap between the electrodes and the additional spark is distributed differently) the larger the gap, the greater the voltage needed to create the correct spark - the higher the voltage the greater the risk of puncture on the dome wires or coils
advice from experience use candles recommended by the manufacturer but with one electrode (even for cars where the manufacturer uses multi-electrode candles, you can choose one-electrode candles with the same parameters)
it must be remembered that the case is individual for each car model :D

As far as I know, a multi-electrode candle does not give a few sparks, only one jumps where it is 'more comfortable' at a given moment.
These candles are not stupid with the idea and how is it in practice and if there are no problems with the spark longer, you would have to test.

It is best to buy branded candles recommended for a given car model. If you buy no name gas candles, it is known that they will not work half as well as nominal brand name ones. It is like that with everything. So I advise you to remember that only the rich who can afford branded things saves.

Candles with three electrodes are most suitable for gas in forklifts, the engines have never seen gasoline and they ride them very well

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around selecting the appropriate spark plugs for a VW Bora 2.0 APK engine running on LPG. Users debate the merits of NGK's standard BKUR6ET-10 spark plugs versus the iridium BKR6EIX-LPG designed specifically for LPG/CNG. Opinions vary, with some asserting that specialized LPG plugs are a marketing gimmick, while others emphasize the importance of using plugs suited for gas due to differences in ignition efficiency and electrode gap requirements. Recommendations lean towards using single-electrode plugs for better performance and reliability, with a consensus on the quality of NGK products. Concerns about electrode gap and the impact of multi-electrode designs on ignition efficiency are also discussed.
