Good morning, I am addressing you with the following problem that met me yesterday in my 1.4 MPI (2002 - 9N) + LPG, namely after the engine was started and switched to LPG, the symbol "check" followed by "EPC" suddenly lit. and "traction control" will flash from time to time. The engine works strangely, it spins awfully at idle, and when driving, the car has no power. It seems to me that the engine works on 2-3 cylinders out of 4 possible. I also observed that after firing on LPG it is impossible to switch to Gasoline which is strange for me, because it was always possible to do it while driving. Below is a photo and video of the problem.

Thank you in advance for your help and valuable remarks on what to do first.

I will add that about two weeks ago I exchanged the following things: fuel filter, oil + oil filter, coils (all 4 for new ones), petrol injectors (all 4) + strip.

For 20 reasons it can be.
If Check and EPC are burning, you have errors in the ECU memory.
Read them and then everything will be clear.
    Otherwise, you will be lost.

I just ordered the OBD II cable and on Tuesday I will try to fix something myself, because 30 zlotys is not money, and the cable will always come in handy.

Someone else? Because most probably there was a coil again: - /, and maybe there is another reason that contributes to a short circuit, that it burns the coils?

If it's like a tractor at low revolutions, there's an ignition, replacing the coils is not enough. The candles that are mounted for the gas installation are more expensive but it's worth it. When replacing the candles, check the compression of the cylinders.

That's how it goes but recently, after replacing the coils, everything has returned to normal. I connected the car to a friend under VCDS, it just showed me a mistake in the style of "misfire" etc, I have candles for the gas installation, and what else will I need to do? What is the result of this "misfire"?

Ignition loss means no cylinder operation and there are several reasons for this:
    - no spark
    - no suitable compression pressure
    - bad mix in the cylinder or lack thereof
If you had a misfire error then there should be information about which cylinder is going.
Then you can try to put the candles between the cylinders or coils.
In the measuring blocks one can also observe the firing out of each cylinder in real time.
After translating the coils and observing these measuring blocks, you would know if it was their fault.
There's no point in putting in replacements. The original is about 180 PLN on the website.

I will invest in the original, because for 4 pieces 180 PLN I do not give a smile.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a 2002 VW Polo 1.4 MPI experiencing issues after switching to LPG, indicated by the "check" and "EPC" warning lights, along with erratic engine performance and power loss. The user suspects the engine is running on 2-3 cylinders and notes an inability to switch back to gasoline. Recent maintenance included replacing the fuel filter, oil, oil filter, and all coils and petrol injectors. Responses suggest checking the ECU for error codes, potential ignition issues, and the importance of using appropriate spark plugs for LPG systems. Recommendations include verifying cylinder compression and considering original parts for replacements to ensure reliability.
