    Hello,
I have a problem with the Elektrolux refrigerator, after closing the door, the seal holds the door so tightly that you have to struggle to open it. Any advice on that? Maybe it is going to somehow regulate?
    Regards

I have already written about my case (mastercook) - a similar effect in the freezer. Always a few minutes after opening the door it sucks that it's hard to "tear off". Yes it is and that's it. My guess is that it is the pressure difference that arises then and that is what it does. I have been living with him for the sixth year :)
Is your problem also with the freezer?

Check if there is a clogged condensate drain - such a hole in the back wall of the refrigerator - if you plug it, it should be fine.

the situation takes place in the refrigerator compartment, the freezer is ok, I will check this condensate hole, but I think it is not because it has been so new, i.e. for less than 2 years ...

And to think that my sons and I were looking for a refrigerator (we bought Elektrolux) with very strong door springs because sometimes the guys didn't close the old one ...

Can you write more accurately when you can't open the refrigerator door?
Is it a moment (a minute, two) after opening?
If so then this is correct, as someone has already mentioned, it is due to the pressure difference. I also have an electrolux refrigerator and at the beginning I struggled with the door until I read in the manual that after opening and closing the door, I can make the next opening in 1-2 minutes

there is a mechanism in the liebherra freezer (a kind of electromagnet - I think), which is designed to seal the chamber after closing, maybe it is here, the rest was written in the post mala_ewunia

The built-in whirlpool behaves identically. For 1-2 minutes. from closing the door - the next opening is difficult.

I fully agree with this diagnosis, it is the most common cause of the difficult opening of the refrigerator door.

    Hello,
I checked and it is exactly as mala_ewunia writes: for the first minutes after opening and closing, re-opening is difficult, then it is normal.
If this is the manufacturer's intention, it is a bit strange because it makes you leave the refrigerator open until you put away the product removed from it for a while and the refrigerator then loses some of its low temperature. But thanks to this, there is perhaps an exchange of air for fresh ... Anyway, the topic to be closed.
Thanks to everyone for the discussion.
    Regards

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around an issue with an Electrolux refrigerator where the door seal creates excessive suction, making it difficult to open the door immediately after closing. Users suggest that this phenomenon is likely due to pressure differences that occur after the door is closed. Some recommend checking for a clogged condensate drain, although the original poster notes that the refrigerator is relatively new (less than 2 years old). Others share similar experiences with different brands, indicating that this behavior is not unique to Electrolux. The consensus is that the difficulty in opening the door is a common characteristic of many refrigerators, particularly immediately after closing, and may be an intentional design feature to maintain internal temperature.
