I have a Nissan Micra in which the wiper motor goes crazy when the ignition is turned on, but not always, most often with a cold car and not when after starting the engine, when the voltage increases, the limit switch in the engine is ok or someone has encountered such a fault

I assume the car doesn't have a rain sensor.
The system is relatively easy to control, but diagnosis without Consulta will be difficult. Probably the problem lies in the IPDM module, which is hidden under the left headlight. To get to it, you have to remove the bumper and the headlight itself. Water probably got into it (a common occurrence). Alternatively, it remains to disconnect the wiper switch and check if they turn on then. There were cases of damage to the switch itself.

the rain sensor is nowhere to be seen, the module under the headlight is dry because I checked, and this module under the board next to it was rubbed against the bracket, I have the switch ordered for checking

    Hello

You solved the problem of switching on the wipers - what was the reason?
I have the same year of birth and the same symptoms.

    I didn't get a reply - so I had to stress and ... I did :D .
Windshield wipers don't go crazy anymore.

    welcome back
the wipers are still crazy, replacing the switch did not help,
the temperature on these wipers does not like it when it is cold, there is a moment that they start when the voltage rises, I connected the relay that cuts off the current to the motor because I cannot find the reason for switching on.

And just as someone does not want to play with the modification, he can replace the washer motor in the tank with a NEW one (it's nothing that the one that works!). The NEW one will work until its winding is soaked with water and then it starts shorting to ground and the electronics detects that the wipers are on! (because electronics from the French taken (Renault) and not suited to this car)

The problem is in the steering wheel switches - the + 12V shunt resistor is missing. It is enough to unscrew the plastic housing above the steering wheel switches - in the bundle to the switches above the steering wheel, you need to find a cable for switching on the washer (the mass appears on it after pressing the spray) - and solder a 3.3 k? resistor to it and the other side to + 12V - it is also in these cables - the resistance can be reduced (e.g. 2.7k? ;) if they still turn on by themselves.

It took me some time, but let the owners take a break from the services that replace switches and modules for a lot of money and still will not remove the defects.

    Regards
    :D

I also heard something about this motor from the pump - but you did not want to believe it, and here is a logical answer.
Tomorrow is testing - how it really works - YOU'RE GREAT :D

    PS:
I am still fighting in this micra 1.2 benz with the problem: https://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic1729740.html - maybe you will suggest something :?:

    Hello
I also have a problem with the self-activating front wipers in the K12 micra. They activate despite the switch in the OFF position. I have a rain sensor. I noticed that it happens when it is wet (e.g. it rains) or when it is dry and I will go to the car wash. What could be the reason? Is this also a problem with the washer motor ????

On the Nisan K-12, the wipers are automatically turned on, whether it is wet or dry.
Despite a few notes on this subject, I did not find any specific or such that could be understood by not a layman, but poorly familiar with the structure of this car.
Some phrases are such "yard slang" written that it is not known what the author meant.
I am asking for some advice regarding the self-activating wipers in this car.

Hello, I do not want to start a new topic, but my problem is that after switching the wipers to the position of the wiper automat, they work with a uniform, fast gear, it is not possible to set a blunt speed, the time potentiometer works once, but very little when, k12 2003 year

Unfortunately, changing the pump motor to a new one did not help.
Please write something more about installing an additional resistor.
For several hours I was looking in the ankle above the steering wheel - I did not find the ground connecting cable when the washer was turned on. Maybe not this cube ?. When I disconnected it, the windshield wipers started to work, but without the washer pump.
    12V cable - found.
All wires in this car model should be made in the same colors, so please give a hint, maybe after the colors I will get to the "ground" and the correct "12 V".

I have repaired this model a long time ago. I don't remember the colors of the cables - if someone finds it, please write it down.

We only check everything on this cube of the cable harness for the switches above the steering wheel.

1 - You need to take a test tube - connect one end to ground and look for + 12V in this plug with the tip - the ignition key.

2 - As we already have + 12V - connect one end of the test tube to the + 12V cable and use the tip to look for "MASS" after pressing the washer button.

3 - Once we find this "MASS", take (buy) a 2.7k? or 3.3k? resistor and install between these 2 cables (+ 12V and the "MASS" from the washer button).

Today I soldered a resistor, but I will find out if anything helps until tomorrow during the trip.
If you have the same structure of the switch as shown in the attached photos, then the white wire is + 12V (with the ignition on), and the orange wire is connected to the "ground" when pressed with the washer handle. I connected these wires with a 3 KOhm resistor (because according to Mr. Piotr's proposal, I did not have such values, and the difference is small.

When it comes to disconnecting the ankle, this is the one on the left from the top. In order to disconnect it, press the catch located in the middle of the ankle quite firmly and carefully pull this part from the side of the cables together with the cables. It's quite hard to pull out, so don't pull the cables, you just have to deal with the rim of the ankle.

The problem is in the washer motor, and exactly in the ankle which is 100% tarnished !!!!
Disconnect the cube, clean it, dry it, plug it in and do not work with any resistors because later no one will get it when something goes wrong
I know because this problem also caught up with me and I was combining so much that I had to buy new shifters

I found the right wires and installed the resistor.
    The failure has been removed.

Hello. Someone could send photos of these cables because MIMA267, in the posts above, do not work. Thanks.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the erratic behavior of the wiper motor in the 2003 Nissan Micra K12, particularly during cold start-ups. Users report that the wipers activate unexpectedly, often when the vehicle is cold or wet. Potential causes identified include issues with the IPDM module, wiper switch malfunctions, and problems with the washer motor. Solutions proposed include checking for water damage in the IPDM, replacing the wiper switch, and installing a resistor to stabilize the electrical signals. Some users have successfully resolved the issue by cleaning connections and replacing faulty components, while others continue to seek solutions for similar symptoms.
