    Hello,
Unfortunately some nice admin blocked me from writing elsewhere than here some time ago.

I have a problem in golf IV.
I turn the key halfway, wait for all the lights to go out, then turn it further.
the car fires up without any problems after 2-3 minutes, the orange indicator looks like a coil, as far as I know it is a glow plug indicator. Then it flashes all the time until the car is turned off.

    What could be the reason
Is it possible to check which candle is possibly blown without unscrewing them?

It started flashing for the first time when the engine was hot because I had traveled 50 km and it suddenly started flashing.
the computer does not show any messages.

Oh, I checked it in the golf IV manual, it's a control for diesel candles, but it was written there that if they are to sweep, the computer shows "manual service" and I only have this light flashing. However, I bet that there is something wrong with these candles.

Let me tell you that this means a general malfunction of "something", such a check indicator. Look if you got all the stop lights in the beginning (not a joke)

You need to connect the car to the tester, only then can you talk about any errors!

The reason is probably not candles.

    the immobilizer was not touched.
from what I know, if it were candles, I would have a problem with firing at a temperature of 2 degrees C.
However, I fired the shot, it made me think.

The brake lights aren't actually working, and I just checked both of them. Now I have to determine the reason why I hope that only the bulbs have gone, maybe because the indicator light started flashing after braking.

Do you know how much is such a connection to the computer?
I don't have any mechanics I know, unfortunately, the only friend who went to become a car mechanic worked in the mine, unfortunately he was involved in a stupid sport: /.

And this is something above the brake pedal.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Golf IV experiencing a blinking glow plug indicator light, which the user suspects may indicate a malfunction related to the glow plugs. The user notes that the light began flashing after a long drive when the engine was hot, and the vehicle starts without issues. Responses suggest checking the brake lights and the stop switch, as the brake lights were found to be non-functional. There is also a recommendation to connect the vehicle to a diagnostic computer to identify any error codes, as the user has not received any messages from the onboard computer. The user confirms that the immobilizer has not been tampered with and is seeking further clarification on the stop switch and the cost of a diagnostic check.
