I bought a phone a week ago. I have already charged it several times and everything was OK. After the last charging, when I disconnected the phone, the charger started to "squeak". I wanted to go to the salon with it, but first I ask you if the charger is damaged and is it safe to charge the phone? The phone is Sony Ericsson and the charger is original and everything is under warranty. Thanks in advance for your answers.

    Hello

Squeaking - does not mean that the charger is damaged.
At least the output voltage should be measured.
    A voice coil squeaks.

The charger is actually a power supply, the charging and battery supervision circuit is on the phone side.

If you have a guarantee, replace it.
The squeaking of the device is annoying.

Better take her to the store, some inductive element must be broken. In any case, this should not be the case, if only for the sake of comfort and peace of mind while charging the phone.

Have you ever left the charger turned on despite the disconnected phone? There is a pulse converter inside the charger. Some of the converters at no load have exactly the symptoms you write about. The squeaking should go away when the phone is connected. I think everything is fine, but if you find that the squeaking bothers you, go to the salon and replace it with a new one. Only it may turn out that the new one will behave identically.
