Hello, I recently bought a set of 10 micro USB plugs for cable mounting. I decided to use one to make an extra charger for my Sony Xperia M4 Aqua so I could have a spare. I soldered the wire as shown in the picture, i.e. pin 1 + 5V, pin 5 -5V.
However, the phone does not see the charger and does not start charging. What could be the reason? Do you need to short something else in the plug? Sony Xperia M4 Aqua Charging Issue: Micro USB Plugs for Cable Mounting - Phone Not Recognizing

I understand that we combine mass with sense, i.e. 4 out of 5?

I connected to pin 1 + 5V on 4 and 5 -5V, the phone does not respond, but on the phone of the father, Samsung Galaxy S3 sees a connected USB device but also does not charge. I will add that the charger is of course functional.

I personally made a charging and data cable.
Here you have pinut usb http://pinouts.ru/Slots/USB_pinout.shtml and here micro usb http://pinoutguide.com/ChargersAdapters/micro_usb_charger_pinout.shtml
You connect both plugs with a four-core cable, pin No. 4 in the micro usb plug is not connected.
With the cable made in this way, I charge phones, tablets, navigations, webcams or a bluetooth speaker. It has never happened to me not to charge something or connect to a computer.

The original chargers also have two wires + red and - black, so I do not understand why the phone does not see the plug made like this? I also made an additional connection of pins 4 and 5 so that the phone detects the charger.

This connection is used for USB OTG adapters.
In the micro usb plug you bridge pins 2 and 3 through a 200 ohm resistor and then it should correctly detect the charger.

Tomorrow I will try the option with this 200 Ohm resistor. It turns out that the phones on pins 2 and 3 have charging control and without them there is no charging. Unless I'm wrong?

Samsung with such a resistor does not charge, I also checked Sony and some Sagem, both work.

unfortunately, after connecting the 220 ohm resistor and trying to charge, the phone crashes, sees the charger and charges, but turns on the functions itself and goes between the screens. There is no diagram of how the original charger plug is connected, I mean what pin to connect to? I found such a diagram but then it was written to remove the resistor, unfortunately I do not know whether to put a jumper in its place or leave it without anything?

One charger, when the voltage on the plug is 3.7 V, the other 10.42 (measurements without load), strange because each one says 5V?

Do you add the USB cable to the original charger or do you have a charger from some strange device? Non-original chargers can muck so badly at the output that such things happen as you write.

Are you looking for around in my opinion - have you connected the ground to the housing?

The charger was from Nokia 500 and I bought the plugs on the Allegro.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a charging issue with the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua after the user attempted to create a custom charger using micro USB plugs. The user soldered connections to pins 1 (+5V) and 5 (-5V) but the phone did not recognize the charger. Various suggestions were made, including the need to connect pin 4 and the importance of bridging pins 2 and 3 with a resistor for proper charging detection. The user also experimented with different configurations, including adding a 200-ohm resistor, but faced issues with the phone malfunctioning. Concerns were raised about the quality of the charger used and the necessity of proper grounding. The conversation highlights the technical intricacies of micro USB charging connections and the potential pitfalls of DIY charger modifications.
