    Hello.
I have had a Sony m4 Aqua phone with an unusual defect for several days. Namely, the point is that when I want to charge the phone with a charger, the phone shows correctly that it is charging but does not get power from the charger and it can be connected all day and will not charge (I have checked on 10 chargers and it is the same on each). However, if you connect the phone to the USB port of the computer, it charges without any problem (it does not even have to be installed on the computer, it is enough to simply use the computer's USB port). Interestingly, I do not know if it is correct, but the phone still gives voltage to the contacts + and- of the micro usb socket, regardless of whether it is on or off (first time I met this).
    - What could be the reason for the fact that the phone shows that it is charging the battery after plugging in the charger and in fact does not charge and charges without any problems via the USB computer?
    - Is it correct that the phone gives voltage to the pins of the micro usb port?

Check the battery temperature with some program.

I checked the battery temperature is 21-28 degrees. I connected the phone to the USB port of the computer using a cable that does not have communication, i.e. it has only plus and minus and also does not charge, although it shows that it is charging. It charges from the computer properly only with the communication cable, and the charger does not charge.

I would start with replacing a new socket, this phone has a plug in so no soldering iron is needed, but you have to take it apart a bit.

I changed and then the same. I don't like the fact that the phone gives the voltage to the micro usb socket equal to the battery voltage. And I think this is related to the fact that it is not charging through the charger even though it shows that it is charging. Anyone have any ideas why gives the voltage to the socket?

Motherboards like to rain on these phones. How do you measure the voltage of the usb socket, I understand that you have the cable disconnected from the port?

Using a Keweisi usb meter. Thanks to him, I know that the phone does not draw electricity from the charger when landing. And the fact that the phone gives off voltage to the microusb socket, I know because it is enough to plug the microusb cable into the phone and the other end of the cable to the keweisi meter and the meter starts showing 3.92V

It turned out that the diode in the charging circuit was damaged. I close the topic

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a charging issue with the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua E2303, where the device charges via USB but fails to charge with various wall chargers despite indicating that it is charging. The user reports that the phone outputs voltage to the micro USB socket regardless of its power state. Suggestions include checking the battery temperature, replacing the charging socket, and measuring voltage with a USB meter. Ultimately, it was determined that a damaged diode in the charging circuit was the cause of the problem.
