    Hello colleagues.
I have a problem with a rather stupid thing, but unfortunately I can not cope on my own.
I have two monitors, one Panasonic TV and the other is MW221 (Asus).
The problem is that windows does not identify the main monitor correctly.
This is illustrated in this screen:
Swapping Primary and Secondary Monitor Designations: PanasonicTV and Asus MW221

MW221 is marked as the main screen and super but it has the mark as 2, i.e. logging into the system is carried out on monitor 1 (PanasonicTV). Only after entering the password and starting the MW221 system, it becomes the master monitor and the desktop is displayed on it.

I cannot cope with the MW221 being identified as 1, i.e. master monitor and PanasonicTV as 2, i.e. slave. I will add that monitors are recognized correctly in bios, Bios is displayed on MW221.
    How do I replace it?

    MW221 - connected via DVI.
    PanasonicTV - connected via HDMI.

    Best regards.

Right click on the monitor you want to set as primary and option - primary? ;)

It sets it as primary, but it doesn't change anything except that it's ... basic.
    Maybe some more ideas?

And the prosaic change of sockets to which the monitors are connected, have you tried?

    PS.
Maybe you should provide information about the card and the connectors used?

Hello, I am sorry for such a long delay but I had family problems.
Swapping the sockets is out of the question because the TV is connected to HDMI.
The photo will show it best.

Old topic, but a universal solution - but maybe someone will need it in the future ...

    1. first start the computer with only one monitor, then connect the second one
2.if the first point does not work, change the order of the monitors not in the windows settings, but in the additional application loaded by the driver
graphics card - e.g. in the NVIDIA control panel (green icon next to the clock)

    The right solution is different.

    solution found here: http://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/...ndows-display-properties-identify-numbers-are

We disconnect all monitors / TV except the one that is to be first.
We log in as an administrator (ordinary user is not enough)
we remove two keys from the registry (with subkeys)
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Systems \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ GraphicsDrivers \ Configuration
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Systems \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ GraphicsDrivers \ Connectivity

WE RESTART THE COMPUTER (a very important step, it didn't work without it)

we enter the monitor settings and try to detect another monitor (which cannot be successful because only one is connected)

We attach the second monitor and try to detect it.

Hallelujah, the first is the first and the second is the second!

We set the basic one where we want.

@SledgehammerPL Unfortunately it did not work: /
after disconnecting tv and removing registers everything is correct.
I have no numbering in the properties then
after connecting the tv immediately (without detection) the monitor gets no2 and tv no1
although the monitor is considered the primary screen, with WIN + P it is treated as the second screen, and the TV as the computer screen, which irritates me terribly.

I will add that the system is win10x64, the card is gf1060

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a user experiencing issues with monitor designation in Windows, specifically with a Panasonic TV and an Asus MW221 monitor. The user reports that Windows incorrectly identifies the MW221 as the secondary monitor, causing login to occur on the Panasonic TV instead. Various suggestions are provided, including changing monitor settings through Windows, swapping connection ports, and using graphics card control panels. A more technical solution involves modifying registry keys and ensuring only the desired primary monitor is connected during setup. However, some users report that these solutions do not resolve the issue, particularly in Windows 10 with a GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card.
