Hello, of course I know that the better is the enemy of the good, but a wise Pole after the damage. Well, I rummaged in the service menu of my Samsung and the tuner entered the test image mode, it is very dark and tonally flattened. Adjusting the image settings does nothing. So to fix it, I was rummaging around again, as a result I have no channels at all, it scans but doesn't find it. Does anyone have the correct, standard settings of the service menu values written down one by one? (restore the factory settings does not give anything) ... Please just spare any remarks such as "it was not to fumble" because I already used to myself enough for stupidity). Maybe someone would give photos of individual menu screens? I would be very grateful.
    Regards

Thank you. My problem is that deregulation of the image can not be improved by simple options. The image is very contrasty and dark. He became so after running the test in service mode ADC / WB> ADC> AV Calibration which always ends without success.

It is true that I have a UE32D5500 TV set, but apart from the size of the matrix, there is no difference between it and the UE40D5500. Here are the screens from MS (also the advanced ones - after entering via "ruSamsungTVCommunicator"):

    "Simple" Service Menu:

Samsung UE40D5500: Service Menu Standard Settings, Tuner Test Image, Channel Scanning Issues Samsung UE40D5500: Service Menu Standard Settings, Tuner Test Image, Channel Scanning Issues Samsung UE40D5500: Service Menu Standard Settings, Tuner Test Image, Channel Scanning Issues Samsung UE40D5500: Service Menu Standard Settings, Tuner Test Image, Channel Scanning Issues Samsung UE40D5500: Service Menu Standard Settings, Tuner Test Image, Channel Scanning Issues Samsung UE40D5500: Service Menu Standard Settings, Tuner Test Image, Channel Scanning Issues Samsung UE40D5500: Service Menu Standard Settings, Tuner Test Image, Channel Scanning Issues

    Advanced:

Samsung UE40D5500: Service Menu Standard Settings, Tuner Test Image, Channel Scanning Issues Samsung UE40D5500: Service Menu Standard Settings, Tuner Test Image, Channel Scanning Issues Samsung UE40D5500: Service Menu Standard Settings, Tuner Test Image, Channel Scanning Issues Samsung UE40D5500: Service Menu Standard Settings, Tuner Test Image, Channel Scanning Issues Samsung UE40D5500: Service Menu Standard Settings, Tuner Test Image, Channel Scanning Issues

You must remember that you make any changes to the Service Menu at your own risk, and their incorrect setting may cause irreparable damage to the TV set.

Thank you very much, you worked hard :-) I have set it up for me exactly as for you, but unfortunately no changes. This means that the color from the tuner image is still tonally very flattened and very dark. It happened after the test: service mode ADC / WB> ADC> AV, the test failed and the image crashed ... I have no idea what to do next ...

Hello, I would like to connect to this topic and confirm that Factory reset in the Samsung LED TV Service Menu does not restore the TV to operation in Poland. Thus, warn those who wish to perform this reset.

From my experience I will write that after the first entry into the Service Menu and minor changes to the energy saving parameters, I lost the program guide and the ability to edit / search channels. The rest worked. After Factory Reset, only Smart TV (i.e. what we have available on the network) or via additional sources works. The TV tuner does not work at all. That is, it is not possible to set, search for channels. The parameters have probably been restored to the factory settings, which, unfortunately, I suppose does not mean that they are compatible with the Polish TV band and the parameters of the terrestrial signal.

If anyone has similar experiences, please help and tips.
I would like to screen the Service Menu TV Samsung LED UE40D6500 or UE40D6510 - because I have such a model. Alternatively, if anyone knows how to help, please let me know.

    And yet it worked ...

After long battles and reading the forums, analyzing the screenshots, it was possible to bring the TV back to life.
Factory Reset in my copy (UE40D6510) almost worked. It turned out that one parameter after FR is set incorrectly. Namely, "Hospitality Mode" is set to "ON" and it should be "OFF". After this change, the Tuner started working. It was required to change the language to Polish and re-tuning the channels and setting the favorite order. There is also the normal channel list, program guide and the ability to select an antenna.
As soon as I have some time during the weekend, I will try to upload screenshots with parameters from the Service Menu.
So far, I do not recommend rummaging for unskilled users there :-)

I would like to unlock the two TV sets LE22C450 and UE46EH5450 so that more video file formats can be played, but the service menu sequence suggested at the top of the page does not work in any case. strange because some time ago I managed to bring up this menu, but I do not remember if the same sequence of keys. maybe you know something about it?

Samsung UE40D5500: Service Menu Standard Settings, Tuner Test Image, Channel Scanning Issues

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues faced by users of the Samsung UE40D5500 television after accessing the service menu. Users report problems with the tuner displaying a dark and tonally flattened test image, which persists despite attempts to adjust settings or perform factory resets. Several users share their experiences, noting that factory resets do not restore functionality, particularly in Poland, where channel scanning fails. Some suggest that uploading software or adjusting specific service menu parameters, such as disabling "Hospitality Mode," can resolve these issues. Screenshots of service menu settings are requested to aid in troubleshooting.
