    Hello.
I’m planning to buy Auraton thermostats for my AEG WKL 2000W radiators, but I have a few questions.
I need to control the temperature independently in two rooms: my child’s bedroom and the living room. Will one controller and two sensors fitted to the radiators be enough, or do I need to duplicate the system in each room – i.e. a separate controller and a separate sensor for each radiator? And if so, will two such systems interfere with each other? I’m only interested in the RTH version because of the 16 A relay contact rating; the wired version can only handle 8 A.
I’d also appreciate some general feedback on these controllers.

There must be a separate thermostat for each room. The temperature will need to be measured in each room. However, I would recommend setting up a system with a controller and sensors in the rooms. I have a system like this using an EL-PIAST controller, which controls the heating in four rooms. It has a single main HMI panel for managing room temperatures. In addition, the controller naturally manages the heat demand in the house and starts the boiler. The only minor drawback is that you need to write a programme, which took me about two hours.

You can’t control this system with just one Auraton; I’d recommend – given that it’s electric heating something like this thermostat, plus a double frame and a light switch. Just so it looks presentable. I’ve got a fan in my duct heater connected this way.

    You can use 2 RTH receivers, one 2025RTH or 2030RTH controller/transmitter, and 1 or 2 T-2 sensors

The whole system can be configured as follows:
Register the controller (2035 or 2030) with the first RTH receiver, followed by one of the T-2 sensors
Register the controller with the second RTH receiver, followed by the second T-2 sensor

Each RTH receiver will be controlled by the same controller using the same programme, but temperatures will be measured by separate T-2 sensors.

Instead of one of the T-2 sensors, you can use the sensor built into the controller. In that case, you’ll only need: two RTH receivers, one controller and one sensor.

The only drawback of these controllers is that the controller’s display does not show readings from the remote T-2 sensors.

And then there’s the question of whether it’s possible to buy an RTH receiver separately, or whether you’ll actually need to purchase two sets of controllers after all?
