AEG Mini Home Theater System - How to run the amplifier itself?

I came in possession of the AEG amplifier, most likely from set 4606 (judging by the photos found on the web). I would like to use it as an independent amplifier. After connecting, nothing happens (there is no switch) and here I have a question; do you need to somehow excite equipment using the "power control in" located on the back panel (small socket about 3mm with a pin in the middle)? For example, shorting? Do you need a specific signal from the processor?
