    Hello
I lost my side trim in the front door. With what to glue it so as not to lose it right away? The trim is quite heavy and rigid. The car is a mazda 323.

    Hello
There is a special two-sided adhesive tape for this type of trim. Ask around at automotive stores.

These tapes from stores are lousy - they will fall off sooner or later the original, used by the manufacturer of the car tape is double-sided adhesive aluminum tape, but such in stores do not exist.
I always glue such parts with windshield adhesive (without using the primer (prime) just the glue itself. Clean the door and trim from dirt, residues of old tape and degrease it with gasoline. Then you should slightly heated
the strip (heat gun with temperature control about 100 degrees or
dryer), then it becomes flexible and easy to form it to the door, which are rarely ever flat
apply glue and press against the door, I press the strip
against the garage wall with wooden wheels.
After a few hours, as the glue binds is not moveable.

I will agree with 0_0 while you do not need to fasten the slats to the wall just stick with paper tape overnight. Remember that the glue sets in positive temperatures. That is, only a heated garage. KUDOS TO

I use for this purpose a fast-bonding glue from the company Loctitte 406. It works great.

You only need to remember to previously clean everything thoroughly and heat to at least 20 St.C.

It has a disadvantage - you will never again peel the strip ;-)

    Greetings

PS. Loctitte to be purchased from PREMA store chain

I, in Czestochowa on ul.Warszawska, made a large, smoky and spherical side mirror for a bus with disassembly of the old broken, cleaning of the plastic face and pasting the new, heating the whole thing, all for a whole 40.-zł, ie the mirror and labor. And also received a free piece of this very good tape.
Bonding a rear-view mirror to the glass, inside the car takes no more than 5 minutes / with cleaning the old tape /,. then maybe you were mistaken about this "0" /zero /, or maybe you did not ask before, how much this service ???????

    Recommend this plant and greetings.

Topic summary

To reattach the side trim on a Mazda 323 front door, several adhesive options are recommended. Users suggest using specialized double-sided adhesive tape, although some express concerns about its durability. An alternative is windshield adhesive, which should be applied after cleaning and degreasing the surfaces. Heating the adhesive can enhance its flexibility and bonding strength. Other suggestions include using Terostat adhesive, which is known for its strong hold in automotive applications, and Loctite 406 fast-bonding glue, which requires thorough cleaning and heating before application. Users also mention sourcing these adhesives from automotive stores or specific suppliers.
