    Welcome,

i have completed my studies and have a degree in electrical engineering. I would like to get into programming in smart installations of large houses and villas, preferably LCN installations. Where should I start? The question is aimed especially at the kind of people who do this, but also any answer for me counts.

My second question - please tell me what I could practice this on? What should I look for on allegro to "practice" with?

I'd like to point out that I've been interested in Windows programming since junior high school and focused on programs of a practical nature (i.e. sending emails, cryptography, instant messaging, etc.), and wrote in Delphi (Object Pascal).

    Best regards!

You are asking yourself a strange question. On the one hand, you write about programming the installation in the sense as if it were a matter of commissioning and adapting to a given investment, based on a standard system application. On the other hand, you indicate that you are an application programmer.... the title of electrical engineer, on the other hand, indicates that you can actually do installations from a to z. On top of that, you indicate LCN as if you had a lick of it and because you know it, you would prefer to go in that direction.

I don't know why you would choose LCN out of probably 100 systems ... rather, the system is selected according to the requirements of the investment so it is good to know at least a few solutions. Also, if you are only thinking of programming, you should still attend the manufacturer's installation course... and then... then I don't know I guess you should find a company that installs the system and not specifically have someone volatile in programming.... or there aren't enough of them and hope that someone will hire you or at least take you on as an intern...
