    Hello

I would like to control the lighting in a staircase using a PLC. And here is my question what would be the best controller?

My idea is that there will be motion sensors on the staircase and when the sensor receives a signal from outside and sends it to the controller. The light will then come on. The controller will be programmed to keep the lights on for 40s, and a switch-off delay will also be applied so that if the sensor still detects movement after these 40s, the lights will be kept on again for the same period.

Any other suggestions for solutions or tips to make things easier are welcome.

I don't know if you need a PLC for this. All you need is a simple motion sensor with a set time and that's it. The sensor detects movement and lights up for the set time, why would you need a PLC for that?

I forgot to add that switches are still to be used on each floor should someone need to switch on the lights earlier than would be necessary.

I was wondering about the LOGO controller, a good idea?

Logo is a good choice, but even if switches are to be used, a controller is not necessary. It is sufficient to connect these mentioned switches in parallel with the motion sensor.
