    Hello,

I have a Sony Vaio laptop model PCG-3A1M (VGN-FZ31M) with Windows Vista Home Premium OEMAct. Since 2006, the format has not been done and the system barely zips..
In order to get my computer back on its feet, I have to restore it to factory settings. Therefore, any programs installed later will be removed.

In order for the laptop owner to still have a legal version of Office, I need to extract the product key somehow. Microsoft Office 2007 home version has been properly installed and ACTIVATED on the laptop. I need the key to download the installation CD from Microsoft .

Any ideas where it could be?

    Try using Win Key Finder.

Thanks for the quick reply. I know this program and I have a few reservations about it. Namely, if the system key is found - the program throws out the processed key - AFTER Windows activation, not the key from the sticker. The key shown in the program does not activate Windows. I'm afraid that the same will be the case with the Office key, so I'm looking for a solution other than Win Key Finder.

    edit:
https://sites.google.com/site/cakirbey/softkeyrevealer -> gives the same result as Win Key Finder. Maybe someone else has another idea?

I used to have Everest Ultimate Editions and it showed all keys of all products under the Licenses tab.

I will say this - softkeyrevealer shows me a key like on the box with Office.

The program everest\aida tab programs -> licenses displays correctly.
Anyway, I see I've been warned.

Thanks everyone for the replies! As for Microsoft Office 2007, the above key finders show the correct keys from the boxes/stickers. Regarding Microsoft Windows - they show keys after activation so they cannot be used to activate Windows. I consider the problem solved :)
