    Hello

I would like to 'relocate' a light switch without knocking down the wall. Instead of the current switch, I would like to install a receiver and a transmitter a few metres away on the wall.

The problem is that all the wireless switches I can find in the network, apart from the contacts where the wires to be connected and disconnected are to be connected, also have contacts where the mains power supply is to be connected. I unfortunately only have two wires in the switch box.

Are there any wireless switch receivers (available on the market) which do not require a separate power supply. E.g. they have a rechargeable battery which charges itself when the light is switched on, or they constantly pass a small current through the lamp circuit using it for their own power supply.

    PS.

It just occurred to me that I could just use a receiver screwed into the bulb holder, and leave the old switch on and just never switch it off. I leave the question as an interesting one.
