    Hello

I hope that I am writing in the right topic :) ) I have a question for you I would like to install in my company such an electric door lock rfid card reader (something like a city card), but at least 50 m, can you get something like this in Poland. Obviously some inexpensive equipment, it should simply make it easier to enter and leave a room without locking the door with a key

    Regards

We manufacture such devices. In practice, with so-called optical visibility, the maximum range is up to 200m. Of course, this can be reduced by software. The RFID tag is a disc with a diameter of 32mm and a thickness of 9.5mm. It can be fitted into a standard badge. The other part is 55mm x 20mm x 15mm, with a power supply of 6-30V DC. The output is a so-called potential-free relay.
The cost of the tag is a few tens of zloty. The relay is probably a little more expensive. The tag remembers 'which locks it has opened'. So it can be used for time control.

    Welcome,

I am interested in a similar topic but would like to use this for other purposes.
i have a plot of land where there are quite a few hives, thefts happen of course, and so I would like to install such a rfid tag in each hive and control them:

    1. The antenna will check all active tags within its area.
    2. If the position of any of the tags changes, a camera on the plot will be switched on
(here is the trickier part, the question is whether it is possible to program the distance of each tag within the antenna and, if this distance changes at a given moment, to take some action?)
    3. what is the cost of such a tag and reader?

Alternatively, please ask for details of where I could purchase something like this ;)

I propose to install such an RFID tag in each hive:

It has a built-in accelerometer. Depending on the settings, it can generate an alarm when motion and/or change of position and/or temperature is detected.
For receiving alarms, such a receiver will be most convenient:

The output of the receiver can be connected to a camera, alarm, GSM notification, siren, etc.
Retail price of the receiver is ~£120, tags are much cheaper.
Contact is in the bottom left corner on this page: http://inode.pl/

These pucks have another interesting functionality. With a newer smartphone, it is possible to detect from a distance that a car is carrying a stolen hive.
