    Hi,
I need as much information as possible on the use of different connections between devices in a smart home. Please add any use for a particular connection, or perhaps a new method not yet mentioned below.
    1) 1-Wire -magistral is used for temperature sensors, can be used to identify the person entering the building (authorisation)
    2) RS485 standard
    3) CAN-bus-apparently it is not possible to connect devices to interfaces on tablets or computers and a CAN-Ethernet gateway is needed
    4)ZigBee
    5)MiWi
6)WiFi -apparently there is a possibility of interference with more devices?
    7)Z-Wave
8)GSM- reception of images from cameras, control of devices?
9)Bluetooth - to control all devices? Is this a good solution?
10)IRDA - same as bluetooth but has a poor range. Any ideas?
11)Ethernet - I know it is mostly used for camera installations
12)X10 standard - I have read that it is used in older buildings but it is easy to sabotage such connections?

If anyone has information to add to this list please share.
    Thanks! :)

I would very much ask for a little more self-reliance on this forum.

So if a person is trying to achieve something by writing an engineering paper and asks for help from people who may have some reservations and much more experience then they can't ask for it on this forum? And if someone just for themselves wants to do something for themselves at home and asks then slack and they won't even finish the project and it's a waste of forumers' time. It's just a pity that there are cases of topics on the forum where users ask for help regarding Eng. work and they have nothing and know nothing. I have started the project and will finish it. Of course for people with experience to spend 5 min to write back is not much and for me every word will give a lot. I don't know why the moderators insist that helping someone's project is forbidden here because it is not allowed.

That is, when a person is trying to achieve something, they should present a minimum contribution of their own work. You don't see commitment on your part, so please don't be surprised that no one is willing to do the engineering work project for you - and that obliges.

GMasks In general, the questions you ask are below a certain standard that should be expected of a person who wants an engineering degree. I will not describe how your questions expose your lack of elementary preparation. But I will help.
First try to assimilate the term: "communication protocol".
Go through and analyse some generic diagrams of home/building automation systems [you will find them, for example, on manufacturers' websites] and come back with properly [i.e. more sensibly] asked questions.
